For my detailed landscape paintings, I work well using a reference photo. It might be one you took on a recent vacation, or your favourite view from a nearby hike or trail. Wherever the location, I would be happy to see what you have!

I offer landscape paintings on watercolour paper (which will need to be framed), stretched canvas, or on panel wood.
Abstract Art
For a custom abstract painting, I typically have my client choose 1-2 paintings from my collection that they connect with. Each painting is unique and original, and I don't produce two of the same piece, however, I use similar techniques to achieve the brushwork and flow you want in your piece. More details below!
Step by step through a commission
This is an overview of what it's like to work with me on creating your very own custom piece of art!
I use professional quality acrylic paints on gallery wrapped canvas 1 1/2 " in depth.
The total timeline from start to finish is 8 to 10 weeks.

We discuss your preferred; budget, canvas size, colour options, and details for your painting.

Based on the above information I will provide you with a quote.

Once I have a clear idea of colour palette, direction, and flow, I then provide you with a colour swatch.

Upon your approval, we move forward with a 25 % deposit (non-refundable.)

I place the custom canvas order, this will take 10-14 business days.

We discuss any final details to ensure we are on the same page.

Once canvas arrives, I begin painting.

Once the painting feels complete, you get to see it for the first time and if necessary, discuss edits.

Once the final painting is completed, and you're 100% pleased, the remaining balance is due.

We make arrangements for art pick-up, delivery, or shipping (additional cost.)

You get to enjoy your new piece of art for years to come!

For mini and small scale art commissions (under 12 x 12 inches) prices are based on my rate of $60/hr. Depending on the amount of detail, I typically request between 2-4 hours for small scale painting.

For mid to large scale art (12 x 12 inches and up) my base pricing begins at $500 and goes up to $1500-$2500 and more. These prices are based on my set canvas price list.
What size painting fits my wall?
Using the painter's tape method
​Marking your wall where you want to hang your painting is a great way to visually see if it's the right size for your wall. Here are a few tips to get you started:

Consider if people will be seated in front of the painting. If so, it's a good idea to take head space into account. Raise the tape up to a level above their heads. It helps to sit down on the seat to get a good idea of tape placement.

Is this wall going to receive lots of direct sunlight? If so, be aware that over time a painting can dull in colour.

Once you have considered the above, mark out the area you're envisioning with painter's tape.

Then, live with it for a day or two to determine if the size works for you and fits your space.
